Gigabyte unveiled its latest gaming laptops, the AORUS 17X and AORUS 15X, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023. Both models feature high-end specifications, including a 240 Hz refresh rate display, up to 64 GB DDR5 memory, and 13th Gen Intel i9 HX-series processors. The laptops also come equipped with Nvidia’s powerful GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs and use Gigabyte’s in-house Windforce cooling technology for effective thermal management. In terms of operating systems, the AORUS 17X runs on Windows 11, while the AORUS 15X runs on Windows 11 Home/Pro. These laptops also offer the latest connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4. At this time, no information has been released regarding the pricing or availability of these upgraded models.

The AORUS 17X laptop is a powerful, feature-packed device designed for gaming and high-performance computing. It runs on the latest version of the Windows operating system, Windows 11, and is available in either Home or Pro editions.
At the heart of the AORUS 17X is a powerful i9-13950HX processor with a base clock speed of 5.5 GHz and a massive 36MB cache. This 8-core, 16-thread processor is capable of handling even the most demanding tasks with ease, thanks to its ability to boost clock speeds up to 5.5 GHz under certain conditions.
In terms of graphics, they equipped the AORUS 17X with both an Intel Iris Xe GPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU with 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM. The latter is one of the most powerful mobile graphics cards available, capable of delivering high-quality visuals and smooth frame rates at resolutions up to QHD (2560×1440). The GPU also has a boost clock speed of 2040 MHz and a maximum graphics power of 175 W, which can vary depending on the scenario.
The AORUS 17X features a large 17.3-inch display with thin bezels and a fast refresh rate of 240Hz. The display has a 16:9 aspect ratio and a QHD resolution of 2560×1440, providing plenty of screen real estate and crisp, detailed visuals. The display is also TÜV Rheinland-certified and supports 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, ensuring accurate and vibrant colors.
In terms of memory and storage, they equipped the AORUS 17X with two DDR5 slots that support up to 64 GB of RAM and two M.2 SSD slots that support NVMe PCIe Gen 4.0×4. This provides plenty of room for multitasking and fast data transfer speeds.
The AORUS 17X features an island-style RGB Fusion keyboard with per-key backlighting and macro support, making it easy to customize the look and feel of the device. The keyboard is also comfortable to type on, thanks to its well-spaced keys and excellent feedback.
